Another inmate tests positive for COVID-19 at women’s prison in Kitchener

The number of inmates in Canada who have tested positive for COVID-19 has jumped to 42, with outbreaks in five federal institutions.
Officials say there are 14 positive cases at the Mission Medium Institution in British Columbia, and one at the Pacific Regional Treatment Centre.
19 inmates have COVID-19 in Quebec at the Port-Cartier and Joliette Institutions.
And in Ontario, there are eight positive cases – and they're all at the Grand Valley Institution for Women in Kitchener.
In total, 49 correctional officers in Canada have tested positive for the coronavirus – including one at Grand Valley.
