Canadian-Chinese man and daughters die in hostage taking

A British company confirms one of the eight people killed following a hostage taking on a tour bus in the Philippines was a dual Canadian-Chinese citizen.

Fifty-eight-year-old Ken Leung was a managing director of the Asian division of Stadium Group who lived in Hong Kong.

His two daughters were also killed and his son is recovering from surgery to his head.

The children are also believed to be Canadian citizens who attended the University of Toronto.

The hostage-taker opened fire before police shot him dead.
