Pedestrian dies from injuries following crash at Stratford Mall

A pedestrian has died after they were struck by a vehicle in the Stratford Mall parking lot.

Police were called to the parking lot Sunday around 11 a.m. due to reports an elderly man had been hit by a pick-up truck.

The man was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition.

In an update Monday afternoon, police said the 86-year-old from Stratford had died from the sustained injuries.

The involved driver has been identified as a 38-year-old from St. Catharines.

No charges have been laid in connection with the crash as Stratford police say their investigation is ongoing.
