Police investigate ‘random assaults’ at Kitchener park

Police have laid charges after reports of an unknown man assaulting people at a Kitchener park.
Officers were called to Fallowfield Park, in the Homer Watson Boulevard and Block Line Road area Friday evening around 7:00 p.m.
“Through the investigation, officers learned that several victims were randomly assaulted while walking on trails within the park,” said police.
“Officers responded to the area and arrested the suspect without incident.”
Minor physical injuries were reported by the alleged victims. Police believe there may be more victims and are asking them to reach out to investigators.
A 39-year-old man from Kitchener has since been charged with two counts of assault and two counts of criminal harassment.
The investigation is still ongoing.
