Charges expected after crash in Wilmot sends two to hospital

Waterloo regional police are expected to lay charges after a serious crash in Wilmot.

Around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, police were called to the Queen Street and Witmer Road area, about 3 km south of Highway 7/8.

Two vehicles had reportedly crashed, with both drivers sent to hospital.

Police said that included a 24-year-old woman from Kitchener and 68-year-old woman from Plattsville.

Both were sent to a local hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. The intersection was closed for several hours as a result.

It is not clear what caused the crash at this time, but police said they do plan to lay charges.
