Cambridge 2026 municipal election voting period now open

The City of Cambridge has announced that the voting period for its 2026 municipal election has opened and will stay open until Oct. 26.

Residents can vote 24 hours a day online or in-person on select days, starting at 10 a.m., on Sept. 26.

The city is giving residents three different locations to vote in-person ahead of the election day. While advanced voting is still on-going before election day, Cambridge residents can vote at any of the locations listed below:

On election day, residents who still plan on voting must go to the location that is in their assigned ward to vote. To find a list of the open voting locations in Cambridge on election day, click here.

Online voting

Cambridge says that voting online is like what happens in-person. Voters will need to confirm their identity and eligibility to vote. When voting online, voters will first need to confirm that they are on the voters’ list. Then, review or update any information that is needed. Residents who plan on voting online will be required to upload a photo of an accepted government-issued photo ID, like a driver’s license or passport.
