Police release surveillance photos following series of restaurant thefts

Waterloo regional police have released surveillance photos of a person they would like to identify and speak with following a string of thefts from restaurants across Waterloo Region.
Throughout July, police said five restaurants in Kitchener and Wilmot Township were impacted by the alleged thefts that involved a person taking cash from the till and then driving away.
The locations included:
- Westmount Road East and Ottawa Street South
- Courtland Avenue East and Shelley Drive
- Fischer-Hallman Road and Bleams Road
- Bleams Road and Highway 7
Police are looking for a man who is described as 6′ tall, wearing a scarf or bandana and a hat.
Investigators said he may be driving a grey 2017-2019 Ford Escape.
