Series of restaurant thefts under investigation

The Waterloo Regional Police Service are investigating a series of thefts across Kitchener and Wilmot Township.

Between July 5, and July 28, Police say they responded to five reports of thefts across different restaurants.

In each theft, officials say an unknown male stole cash then fled in a vehicle, with the thefts happening in these areas:

• Westmount Road East and Ottawa Street South
• Courtland Avenue East and Shelley Drive
• Fischer-Hallman Road and Bleams Road
• Bleams Road and Highway 7

The male suspect is described as approximately 6’ tall, wearing a scarf or bandana and a hat. He may be operating a grey 2017-2019 Ford Escape.

Investigators would like to identify and speak to the individual pictured below in connection to these incidents.
