Cambridge retail theft suspect caught, charged with 31 counts

Waterloo Regional Police have charged a Cambridge man with a number of counts of theft and disguise with intent after an LCBO theft spree dating back to January.
Between the period from January to May 2026, a male suspect stole merchandise from multiple LCBO stores in the Cambridge area.
On July 17, 2026, a member of the public contacted police after observing the suspect stealing merchandise from an LCBO location on King Street E. Officers responded to the call and were able to apprehend the man in Dumfries Conservation Area.
The 46-year-old from Cambridge was arrested and has now been charged with multiple offenses. The suspect is charged with 19 counts of theft under $5000, and 12 counts of disguise with intent.
The suspect is scheduled to appear in court on October 7, 2026.
