By Erin Anderson

A Cambridge man has been charged in a child exploitation investigation that started earlier this month.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) says its Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit launched an investigation in July relating to child sexual abuse material.

On Tuesday, police arrested a 32-year-old Cambridge man.

The accused has been charged with possession of child sexual abuse material.

He was held in custody for a bail hearing. No name has been released.

Police say their investigation is ongoing.
