Repairs complete on Schneiders billboard near Cambridge on the 401

The “Dutch Girl” is smiling once again.

Repairs have been completed on the famous Schneiders billboard on the 401 in Puslinch, just outside of Cambridge.

A spokesperson for Maple Leaf Foods, which now owns the Schneiders brand and the sign, said repairs were completed on Monday.

Storms in April and May damaged the sign, especially around the face of the image of the Dutch Girl logo.

The billboard is seen by many highway commuters as a sign that they’ve arrived back home in Waterloo region.
