Minor injuries after small plane crash in Fergus

Emergency services were called to a farmer’s field just north of Fergus on Tuesday evening after a small plane went down.

Wellington County OPP report the personal aircraft suffered an engine malfunction that prompted an emergency landing in the field on Beatty Line, between Sideroad 10 and Sideroad 5.

The two occupants of the plane suffered minor injuries.

They were taken to local hospital to be checked out.

Transportation Canada has been notified but it’s unclear if an investigation will be undertaken.
