Police investigating suspected BB gun shooting in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police Service have begun investigating a weapons incident in Kitchener that saw a victim struck by a suspected BB gun shot.

On May 18, around 3:35 a.m., authorities responded to reports of a firearm being discharged.

The investigation has determined that an unidentified male suspect discharged the weapon, striking a 33-year-old female victim in the face. The victim sustained minor physical injuries.

After the projectile was discharged, the suspect fled on foot before police could arrive. They were last seen travelling south on Duke Street.

The investigation is ongoing by the WRPS General Investigations Unit.
