Sexual assault charge for man on bail seen harassing women in Kitchener

A Cambridge man who was out on bail is facing a new charge in the courts after he was caught harassing a group of women near Conestoga College, police said.

Officers from the Waterloo Regional Police Service were out Thursday, conducting a proactive bail compliance investigation focused on a 26-year-old man.

Police said he was observed harassing a group of women near Doon Valley Drive and Conestoga College Boulevard in Kitchener.

Officers stepped in and arrested him.

Police said no one was pysically hurt.

The Cambridge man is facing new charges of criminal harassment, and sexual assault.
