Firearms and other weapons seized in police raid in Cambridge

Multiple weapons, including a gun and replica firearms, are off the streets after a police raid in Cambridge.

Officers from the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Drugs and Firearms Unit, and the Emergency Response Team, executed the search warrant Wednesday at a home in the Cooper and Queen streets area in Hespeler.

Police said they found and seized a firearm, replica firearms, knives, and brass knuckles.

A 20-year-old man is now facing three counts of weapons-related charges, and police said he was also wanted on three outstanding warrants, including one from WRPS for failing to appear for court.

And a 17-year-old boy from Cambridge was charged with weapons offences, and failure to comply with a release order.

Police said this was all part of an ongoing investigation, but they did not provide information about that.
