Police seek information and suspect in sexual assault

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a report of sexual assault in Waterloo.

Officers say they received a report on April 16 around 7:30 p.m. that a female was sexually assaulted by a male.

It allegedly occurred inside a retail store in the area of University Avenue West and Ira Needles Boulevard.

No physical injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

At this time, police have not released any information about a suspect.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call 519-570-9777. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers.
