Waterloo driver accused of pulling a knife on another driver

A confrontation involving drivers at a Waterloo shopping plaza has led to one of them being charged with weapon offences.

Officers from the Waterloo Regional Police Service responded to the scene at Erb Street West and Ira Needles Boulevard, around 4:30 Thursday.

Police said a man behind the wheel of a vehicle tried to confront another driver and brandished a knife at them while making threats.

No one was hurt.

Police said a 54-year-old man from Waterloo was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
