Rangers beat the Greyhounds for first time this season

The Rangers have extended their win streak to seven games now after beating the Sault St. Marie Greyhounds for the first time last night at the Aud.

Jack Pridham opened strong for the Blueshirts in the first period, scoring the first goal of the night less than four minutes in.

That would be the only goal for some time, with neither team able to score for the rest of the first or at all in the second.

Sam O’reilly would change that getting the Rangers their second goal in the third period, and Jack Pridham would close the game with the third goal for the Rangers and his 41st of the season.

Christian Kirsch earned himself his fourth shut out game of the season as well, making for a dominant win over a team the Rangers have failed to best prior this season.

The Rangers get one of rest before they head to Windsor on Sunday to take on the Spitfires.

Puck drop for that game will be at 4:00 p.m. and you can catch the action live on 570 NewsRadio starting with the pregame show at 3:30 p.m.
