2026 Fall programs revealed in “ActiveWaterloo Guide”

Every year, the City of Waterloo hosts different programs and events to help get people outside into the community. The list including new and returning programs as well as registration dates is now out.
From different sports, science camps, children, youth, and adult programs, Waterloo will have something for everyone.
In the city’s news release, they shared some of the new activities that people can chose from:
- Little and Kid Artists, Chefs, Dance, Outdoor Explorer and Scientist programs
- Family Dungeons and Dragons and Family Happy Dance Fitness
- Child and youth sewing, crocheting, arts and real-life STEM
- October 26 registered PD Day fun (ages 6-10)
- Artshine painting or pastels for adults
- Functional fitness, pilates, pickleball and 55+ slo-pitch
- Strength Training Myth Busting workshop

A majority of the listed programs are paid, and the list displays a variety of options for you to pick from. You can sign up for multi-week long programs or stop by for different drop-in sessions.
Details about swim programs and different certification programs were also included within the guide.
City program registration dates:
- Active living – August 18 (resident); August 21 (non-resident)
- CARL fall/winter adult sport leagues – now open
- Aquatics/leadership – September 8 (resident); September 11 (non-resident)
