It was a hectic night of hockey at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium last night when the Erie Otters came to town to take on the Rangers.
The game started relatively slow for the Blueshirts with a lone goal from Jack Pridham before getting into the second.
Ian Robinson would score a second for the Rangers, but the Otters got three points of their own to put the pressure on the Rangers headed into the third.
The third period would see Jack Pridham get his second of the night just four minutes in before a drawn out game lead to an unconventional last two minutes of the game.
With less than two minutes on the clock the lights went out, and caused a nine minute delay while power was restored.
But once the lights were back on it was forward Dylan Edwards time to shine, crossing the ice in just seven seconds to score an empty netter, his first goal as a Ranger.
Speaking after the game, Edwards said he had played against the Rangers before and always knew they were a good team, and to play on the same side is fun due to the number of good players that can make plays no matter the situation.
The game was closed out by Jack Pridham getting his third of the night, securing himself the hat-trick and the win over the Otters.
The Rangers get one night off before they get on the road to take on the Sudbury Wolves Tuesday night.
Puck drop for that game will be at 7 p.m., and you can catch the pregame show live on 570 NewsRadio starting at 6:30 p.m.
