Kitchener Rangers fans at the next few games of the year will have a chance to walk away with some much needed holiday cash while helping kids in their community.
Rangers Reach has opened up their bonus pricing on their 50/50 draw for the next three Rangers and buyers will be able to get extra tickets for the 50/50 Holiday Bonus Raffle Supporting Clarky’s Kids.
Speaking on the Mike Farwell Show on Wednesday, Craig Campbell, the executive director of Rangers Reach, said ticket sales for Friday’s game opened up early to get a jump on the jackpot.
“By opening here early this week, and the last game before Christmas, it is an opportunity for us to throw a big number on the board and help someone with some holiday bills hopefully and enjoy Christmas a little bit more,” said Campbell.
Campbell noted that there has only been one game this season where the take-home prize was below $10,000, during the Thanksgiving Day long weekend.
“It is amazing on both ends,” said Campbell. “Somebody is going home with a nice cheque and the community is benefitting from the backside of that.”
Clarky’s Kids is a foundation created by former Kitchener Rangers player David Clarkson and raises money for children and families receiving cancer treatment at the Waterloo Regional Health Network (WREN) through the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO).
Tickets range from $10 for five chance to $80 for 2526 chances.
The holiday bonus raffle opened their tickets sales on November 28 and will draw a winner on January 2 at 9:15 p.m.
