Free Kitchener Rangers games, Preseason Showcase this week

The East Avenue Blue are back!

Training Camp gets underway at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium this week.

Monday and Tuesday, the club will be hosting two free games made up of Kitchener Rangers players.

Rangers fans won’t be able to see a few favourites on the ice, including defenceman Carson Campbell and forwards Luke Ellinas and Andrew Vermeulen.

The free games will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Monday also marks the first day fans can purchase individual tickets for the 2025/26 season. Ticket sales open at 10 a.m.

Behind the scenes this week, off-ice performance testing will be underway. That is closed to the public.

If you’re not around at the beginning of the week, the weekend has plenty of opportunity to see the Blueshirts.

Starting Friday, August 29 through to Sunday, August 31, the Rangers are set to host their annual Preseason Showcase.

It’s a chance for hockey-deprived fans to catch a glimpse at what’s to come this season and even meet the players face-to-face.

The Brantford Bulldogs, Oshawa General, Saginaw Spirit, and of course Kitchener Rangers, are all a part of the showcase, with games throughout the weekend.

Tickets are just $5 each at the door for general admission. That $5 will help support Make-A-Wish Canada.

It all wraps up on Sunday with Fan Fest from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The last game of the showcase, against Brantford will get underway as Fan Fest wraps up at 2 p.m.
