For 32 young men, Friday night will be a night they will remember for the rest of their lives.
One of those young men is projected to be a name Kitchener Rangers fans know very well.
Rangers defenceman Cameron Reid is projected to be selected in the first round of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
The 18-year-old defenceman has impressed scouts after two incredible seasons with the Blueshirts, and draft boards have him going between the 15th and 23rd picks on Friday night.
Fellow OHLers Matthew Schaefer of the Erie Otters and Michael Misa of the Saginaw Spirit are expected to be selected in the number one and two spots.
Rangers forward Luca Romano could hear his name called on Saturday between the second and third round of the draft according to pre-draft analysis.
Kitchener also has a pair of players touted to be taken in the late rounds, including forward Tanner Lam and defenceman Max Dirracolo.
