OPP investigating fatal crash in Perth East

Two people have died in a collision in the Township of Perth East.

The crash happened just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Perth Road 121 and Line 67.

According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) a passenger vehicle and a commercial vehicle collided.

The two occupants of the passenger vehicle a 75-year-old and a 76-year-old, both from Woolwich were killed. The driver of the commercial vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Perth Road 121 between Perth Line 72 and Line 67 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Police are still investigating the incident and are asking anyone who witness the crash or who has dashcam footage to call Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
