Waterloo male arrested after police located stolen vehicle

A Waterloo male was arrested in Kitchener after Waterloo Regional Police found a stolen vehicle.

It happened Oct. 5 around 9:40 p.m. The reported stolen vehicle was found in the area of Greenbrook Drive and Westmount Road. It was reported stolen by the Ontario Provincial Police.

WRPS found the unoccupied vehicle and then shortly after were able to locate the suspect. Officers from North Neighbourhood Policing and K9 located the male and placed him under arrest.

The suspect is a 33-year-old male from Waterloo and has since been charged with multiple criminal offences including possession of stolen property over $5,000 and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. The suspect is being held in police custody waiting for a bail hearing.
