Splitsville Waterloo opens officially July 12 at 10 a.m. for the community.
The 43,000 sq. ft. facility offers 24 lanes of 10-pin bowling with eight VIP lanes as well as a state-of-the-art arcade. It also boasts a restaurant and lounge.
The facility in Waterloo is Splitsville’s first custom-built centre, which they plan to use as a model for future locations.
“We’re really excited; we’ve had Waterloo as one of our desired locations for quite sometime. We love the town; we love the demographics of the university,” said Pat Haggerty, president of Splitsville.
Splitsville Waterloo is located at 341 Marsland Drive and is open late.
“The location is between the two universities, off of some main road arteries, close to the corporate businesses, the space is actually zoned and ready to accept family entertainment.” said Haggerty when asked why they picked the City of Waterloo.
Splitsville ran a demographic report though Waterloo and saw that the city had a range in ages of guests that they could attract and a good mix of disposable income.
“The town is sort of still attracting really main fortune 500 companies to build and to come to the city. So, we’re excited about all of that and working with the city has just been great,” said Haggerty.
“We work with other cities that can be quite challenging, Waterloo was nothing but welcoming and accommodating in trying to learn what we’re doing and ultimately trying to make a partnership for both of us inside the city itself.”
Splitsville Waterloo will be handing out surveys to guests as they leave: they want to hear from the community about what they think of the new entertainment centre.
