Man shot multiple times in the back in Orangeville

A man in his 50s has life-threatening injuries after he was shot in Orangeville on Monday night.

Police were called to Third Street and Fourth Avenue around 9:30 p.m. after receiving a call about gunshots in the area.

They then went to a home on nearby Orange Mill Court, where they found a man who was shot several times in the back.

He was air-lifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses reported seeing a vehicle leave the area, but so far, there is no description of the vehicle or a suspect.

Police believe this was a targeting shooting.
