Record breaking rain falls on Waterloo Region in May

It was definitely a cool and wet month of May.
The University of Waterloo Weather Station says the seesaw monthly temperature continued with an average daily high of 16 degrees, marking the coldest May since 2009.
Our region also received 146 mm of rain last month. The average is 82 mm, making the total in both April and May the third highest ever on record.
Our max high was 28 degrees and our minimum low was a chilly zero degrees.
