Waterloo Region and surrounding areas are now under a winter storm watch.
Environment Canada is tracking a system moving up from Texas.
The system is expected to move into the area overnight. Exactly what we’ll get remains uncertain.
It says were are expected to be very close to a snow to rain boundary.
Latest radar indicates snow, mixed with ice pellets, will move into the region Wednesday morning.
There is a chance that the snow and ice pellets could change over to freezing rain or even some rain tomorrow night, but that depends on whether or not the temperature can climb above the freezing mark.
Again, there is uncertainty in terms of its impact here.
Environment Canada says a small change in the exact track of the low pressure centre will have a significant effect on how much snow, freezing precipitation or rain falls as a particular locale.
