Enabling Accessibility Fund to improve accessibility at THEMUSEUM

THEMUSEUM is getting $30,000 through the Government’s Enabling Accessibility Fund to improve the experience for visitors with disabilities.

The project involves an upgrade to the Lyle S. Hallman Tot Spot’s snoezelen room which provides a multi-sensory environment for autistic and developmentally challenged children.

It is one of the only environments in Waterloo Region that offer these specific services.

Money received through the Enabling Accessibility Fund is expected to enhance the space with new equipment and renovations.
