Thalmic Labs is made up of a world-class team of engineers, researchers and designers building the future of human-computer interaction. They aim to close the gap between humans and technology by solving a fundamental question: How do we connect the real and the digital worlds as we move towards wearable computing? Enter the Myo armband – which measures electrical activity from your muscles to detect five poses made by your hands. It senses the motion, orientation and rotation of your forearm. The Myo armband transmits this information over a Bluetooth Smart connection to communicate with technology.

Vidyard is a Kitchener-based software company that creates software to host and analyze video performance. Founded in May 2010, Vidyard aims to provide customers with the analytics and tools they need to drive business growth through video. Vidyard Recently announced they’ve raised $18 million in Series B funding and will use the money to fuel demand for its video marketing platform technology.
