Rangers defeat Owen Sound 4-3

It was a successful home opener last night for the Kitchener Rangers.
They tripped the Owen Sound attack 4-3 in a shoot out.

Head Coach Troy Smith says he was extremely proud how his team rebounded from a dismal effort in Owen Sound Wednesday.
“We have to clean up the discipline. We can’t take penalties, you can’t give up a short handed goal in those situations. We never panicked and we never got too excited and we found a way to win which is what’s important.”
Justin Bailey returned from Buffalo Sabres camp, and tallied a goal and an assist, while adding another goal in the shoot out.
The Rangers are off to London next week, and home to the Erie Otters on October 10th.
