Dr. Miners current areas of focus include intelligent transportation systems and the connected vehicle ecosystem, spanning concepts from seamless machine to machine interfaces to information fusion and traveller analytics, understanding traveller intent, intuitive multimodal interaction, and context relevant feedback systems. Over the last 15 years, Dr. Miners led advanced research and development activities, seamlessly integrating human, machine, and vehicle.

Steve Rodgers – President of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association (APMA)
Can talk about APMA connected car project that brought together 15 tech providers into one car to sell to automotive companies like GM, Chrysler, etc. through University of Waterloo and tech partnerships. APMA is Canada’s national association representing OEM producers of parts, equipment, tools, supplies and services for the worldwide automotive industry.

Ross Mackenzie – Managing Director of University of Waterloo WatCAR since 2007
Manages and develops automotive and transportation systems research activity, industry and government liaison. The Waterloo Centre for Automotive Research conducts advanced research for industry to enhance product innovation and competitiveness. Not an academic / professor, but he is not shy and speaks his mind, and represents a highly relevant group within UW (WatCAR).
