One man from Kitchener and another from Maryhill remain in hospital following a serious collision on Highway 401 this morning.
It was a single vehicle crash that occurred just before 9 a.m. in the eastbound lanes at Townline Road.
Detachment Commander of Cambridge OPP, John Mraud told 570 News that it appears a pick-up truck went off the roadway.
“It went from the left lane all the way over to the right shoulder, came back off the right shoulder, cut accross all three lanes again and struck the left cement guard barrier and from there the impact was such a speed that it ejected both the driver and passenger out of the truck onto the 401.”
The collision has all lanes closed for more than three hours.
