Dead kittens found on Cambridge road may have come from moving vehicle: WRPS

By Erin Anderson

Police are trying to determine what happened after multiple dead kittens were found on the road in Cambridge.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) was called to the Hespeler Rd. and Can-Amera Pkwy. area around 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning due to reports of injured animals on the roadway.

Responding officers tragically discovered two dead kittens, while a third kitten later died from sustained injuries.

Police say they’re continuing to investigate the circumstances around the incident but they have a lead.

“Initial information received indicates the kittens may have come from a moving vehicle travelling southbound on Hespeler Road,” read a release from WRPS.

Anyone with information, including witnesses or drivers with relevant dash cam video, is asked to contact police at 519-570-9777.
