Woman fighting for her life after head-on collision

A young woman is fighting for her life after a serious crash in Wellesley on Tuesday.

Around 6:30 p.m., police were called to a head-on collision involving two vehicles on Gerber Road.

A 27-year-old woman had to be airlifted to an out-of-region hospital. She was said to be in life-threatening condition at the time.

The other driver involved in the crash, a 59-year-old woman, was hurt, but her injuries were said to be non-life-threatening.

No charges have been laid at this time, with the crash still under investigation.

Anyone who saw the crash is asked to contact Waterloo regional police or Crime Stoppers.
