Visitor restrictions in place @ CMH

Visitor restrictions are in place in two medical inpatient units at Cambridge Memorial Hospital due to a gastrointestinal outbreak, first reported two weeks ago.

CMH is restricting visitors to one per day, for patients admitted to its 3B and 5B units, unless pre-approved for compassionate reasons.

Any visitors with symptoms of a cold, flu or stomach virus are being told to stay away from the hospital until their are symptom free for at least two days.

Some of the measures the hospital is taking includes isolating patients with symptoms and dedicating staff to various units.
