2:00- Premier Kathleen Wynne is standing by a minister who wrote a letter of support for a book that says it’s O-K to physically punish women. Yasir Naqvi has admitted that he wrote the letter, but says he didn’t read the book on Islam. And Wynne says she’s satisfied with his explanation. She says Naqvi’s letter was meant as a “congratulatory note” on the book’s publication — not as an endorsement.

2:30- Geoffery Stevens, Journalist, Author and Teacher, Re: Stevens talks about his recent article on the troubles the federal government is having with the F-35’s. The government did its best to hide the cost as it soared from $16 billion to $29.3 billion and now it is nudging $50 billion and still rising. This is for a new aircraft that has had so many design and production problems that the planes spend more time grounded than airborne.
