Kitchener Boxer wins National Boxing Authority Middle Weight Champion title

Kitchener Boxer Fitz Vanderpool is the new National Boxing Authority Middle Weight Champion after defeating Roberto McLellan in Moncton, NB last night.

According to boxingscene.com, the judges sided with Vanderpool at the end of 10 rounds. The site adds that while McLellan used his speed in the early rounds, Vanderpool came back with harder shots in the middle round.

Vanderpool, who runs a boxing school in Kitchener, now has a record of 26-7 and 4.
