As drivers hit the road this long weekend — OPP will not be far behind.
Canada Road Safety week begins on May 16th and runs until the 23rd.
Police typically deal with a high number of crashes over the May 2-4 weekend, due to alcohol and excessive speed.
Cambridge OPP Constable Ken Upton says the campaign aims to keep motorists safe by decreasing the number of collisions, injuries, and fatalities.
Upton says officers will be watching for impaired driving, seatbelt infractions, and distracted and aggressive driving.
