Gary says he is running for re-election on a record of creating jobs and delivering tax relief for families, greater financial security for seniors and new investments that have strengthened our economy.
As the Member of Parliament for Cambridge-North Dumfries since 2004, Gary has earned the trust and confidence of his colleagues. Prime Minister Harper appointed Gary as Minister of State for Science and Technology, and Minister of State for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
A former Public Relations Director and Past President of the College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences in Toronto, Gary taught at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and the University of Waterloo, and was co-designer of a post-graduate sports fellowship program. He has worked with many athletes, both amateur and professional, and served as medical services chair of the Ontario Special Olympics.
Gary attended the University of Waterloo and graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. A native of Cambridge, he and his wife Valerie have two grown children and are the proud grandparents to their granddaughter, Lilly.
