UPDATE: Beaver Creek crash

A car crash in the middle of the Laurelwood Conservation Area this morning sent at least one person to hospital.
A silver crossover vehicle crashed on Beaver Creek Rd. this morning around 6:30, hitting a hydro pole with enough force to snap the pole at its base.
As you can see in the video below, the front end of the car was completely caved in.
Waterloo Regional Police spokesperson Olaf Heinzel updates the situation…
Crash investigators had closed down the entire length of the road that runs through the centre of the Conservation Area.
Waterloo North Hydro crews at the scene tell 570 News the hydro pole will have to be replaced, but no significant interruption to electricity service is expected.
