TORONTO – People in office lottery pools take note — a Bell Canada call centre in Toronto may be the luckiest workplace in the country.
That’s where a group of 19 employees won a disputed 50 million dollar jackpot in last week’s Lotto Max draw.
Other claimants have come forward, so Ontario lottery officials have put the money on hold while they investigate the claims.
But it turns out that four of the claimants have won big before.
They were in another pool at the Bell office that won a $1,000,000 dollar Encore prize in 2007.
An Ontario Lottery official says one of the women even brought along a photocopy of the one million dollar Encore cheque.
By the way, the odds of winning both jackpots in a lifetime is – 1 in 280 trillion.
