570 News is going From “Don and Gary” to “Don and Mike”.
Mike Farwell will be the new Colour Commentator for Kitchener Rangers Broadcasts on 570 News. Farwell will join OHL legend Don Cameron in the booth for this season. The position became open when Gary Doyle decided to retire from the broadcasts at the end of last season.
Last season Farwell followed Don and Gary on 570 News with the Kitchener Rangers Post Game Show. But have no fear, 570 News Program Director Pete Travers has good news for fans of that show. The Post Game show will be back for all the home games and Mike will be taking your calls once again.
Travers says Farwell fits into the role nicely mostly because of his history of following the team on both television (with Rogers TV) and on the radio with 570 News.
You can listen to Don and Mike as they take to the airways September 24th for the Kitchener Rangers home opener against the Saginaw Spirit.
