Railway Expo rolls into Waterloo Region for weekend

This weekend the Waterloo Region will be welcoming an event and crowd it knows well, the Waterloo Railway Expo.
The annual event invites vendors and residents to gather and share their passion and knowledge of railway systems. Attendees can expect to see a mix of small, detailed recreations, and full-sized 1:1 locomotives.
Along with vendors, there will also be informative clinics, a Waterloo Central Railway restoration shop, and a chance to ride behind the steam locomotive No. 9.
Held at the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Waterloo St. Jacobs, the expo draws in a crowd from all over Ontario. With a packed schedule ahead, the Railway Expo will be the host of multiple different train rides, clinics, and other activities.
In the Expo’s release, organizers say that the railway experience is not one that can be found anywhere else. Encouraging both railway experts, and others who may be new to the interest to attend the event.

- RPM Show
- Shop Tour Shuttle Train
- Speeder Rides
- A total of 14 clinics
On Sunday:
- Steam Train Rides
- Waterloo Regional Model Railroad Club Open House
Tickets to enter the Waterloo Railway Expo start at $20, with some experiences requiring an added cost.
