Singing the blues!

Downtown Kitchener will be singing the blues this weekend.

The 10th annual Kitchener Blues Festival is underway, covering the whole of downtown. Events are running at local clubs, restaurants and at Victoria Park.

Besides live music from blues performers, the free event also features children’s workshops and activities.

The event kicked off Wednesday night and continues today with the Mel Brown Award night and Concert. The late Mel Brown was the founder of the event and passed away last year.

The event highlights artists such as David Wilcox and Sherman Robertson.
