Barn Fire

Flames engulfed a barn last night in Woolwich Township.
Police now say more than 500 animals perished in the blaze on Reid Woods Drive – the vast majority of them were chickens.
The fire broke out just before 7:00pm and destroyed the barn and damaged the siding of a neighbouring house.
Damage is estimated at $250,000.
The fire is not considered suspicious, but officials are still trying to pinpoint the exact cause.
