The man who rescues homeowners from renovations gone wrong shared some advice with about one hundred and fifty ladies in Waterloo last night.
Mike Holmes was the guest speaker at a fundraiser for S-O-S Children’s Villages Canada, an organization that helps neglected and abandoned children and orphans.
He gave his audience some advice on home renovations: slow down.
Holmes says educate yourself by finding out if you need a permit and know your limits for do it yourself projects.
He also says to ask as many questions as you can to your potential contractor and get proof of their license and references.
