Kitchener man dead following stabbing

A Kitchener man is dead following a stabbing at an apartment on Green Valley Drive.
Regional Police say it happened just before 11:00 p.m. Monday night. Emergency services were called to the apartment for what police describe as an “offensive weapons” report.
When they arrived a 49-year-old man was found inside an apartment unit with life threatening injuries and transported to hospital.
Police have identified the victim as Larry McDonald.
Investigators have recovered a knife from the scene and are searching for a 16-year-old male suspect. He is described as white, 6′, 140 pounds with short brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing black cargo pants, and a black sleeveless shirt.
Police say the victim and suspect are known to each other and are treating this incident as a targeted act.
A post mortem has been scheduled in Hamilton. Police remain on scene investigating.
