Police have released an image of a thief targeting grocery stores in Kitchener.

The suspect walked into a store at Ottawa and River Road last Friday and made a small purchase.

He then managed to confuse the cashier by exchanging numerous denominations and was given more money than he should have received.

He is described as white, 45 to 50 years old, about six feet tall, with a medium build.

Police say the suspect may also be linked to two other thefts in Kitchener last Thursday and Saturday.
