Major funding for Anselma House project

The McGuinty Government is contributing 3.5 million dollars to the construction of a new shelter for abused women and children in Kitchener.

Anselma House’s current 20 bed shelter provides provides space for 32 women and their kids.

The new building will have 45 beds and cost 7.5 million.

It will go up on Ottawa Street North in the Stanley Park area.

Today’s announcement was made by Kitchener Centre MPP and Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities. John Milloy.
